Multiple reasons prevented me from updating the situation. Now I am reason free.
Duncan's 1 month MRI was miraculously free of inflammation. Let me be clear, there were a few small smudges of inflammation, but according to the doctor it surprisingly was clearer than it should have been. She attributed the IVIG treatment for this wonderful news. Duncan, on the other hand, attributed the many prayers and fasts that were on his behalf. I agree with Duncan. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ definitely had a hand in this rapid healing due to the petitions on his behalf.
The plan moving forward: The clear MRI gave the "ok" to wean Duncan off the steroids. He is on the tail end of being off the meds. One last follow up MRI is needed, after a time period has past to make sure he won't relapse. During this time, Duncan lives with Grandma and Grandpa in the States. I type this post from home in China. It was nice to be able to return home to the other boys and be mom for them. We look forward to the day we can all be together again.
