Holidays

I am still puzzling over the interesting fact that here in China my child can participate in a school Christmas program celebrating Christ in Christmas.  Grahm was an angel, the smug angel.  The angels were in charge of gathering children from different countries so they could share how their country celebrated Christ in Christmas.  They did a great job and Grahm thoroughly enjoyed himself.

He was way excited his part included a microphone head set.

To help get in the Christmas spirit, we checked out a few places with Christmas lights.  Our favorite spot was the Christmas tree at the Hilton Hotel complete with trains.  The boys were excited to see a train sporting an advertisement for their school.

Once we got Duncan back we took off to Thailand and Cambodia for Christmas.  We spent the big day bathing, feeding, and playing with elephants (to be included in our next post). Our traditional Christmas activities were officially celebrated on the 30th after our return. And yes, the Jolly Red Elf made his visit to us in Beijing while we were away. Whew.

For New Years, we spent the Eve playing games and eating treats the boys made. Our make shift instruments came out as soon as the bell tolled 0:00.
