Lane, Drake and I took a little field trip to 大钟寺 Dazhong Temple or Big Bell Temple and museum. Our first attempt was fruitless as they were closed, go figure. We tried again a few days later, success!
A lady came out and played a few songs for us on the different sets of bells, "Jingle Bells" being one of the selections.
It was like being in a forest of huge bells.
Similar to other temples the biggest most precious item or Buddha is at the back of the temple. Here is their biggest most precious bell. The bell is covered in Chinese characters.
Lane had Drake go inside before ringing the bell. Leave it to Lane to push the rules.

We heard great things about this place and it didn't disappoint!
